The method includes: The first communication apparatus receives first compression indication information, where the first compression indication information indicates whether to compress sensing feedback information, content that needs to be compressed in the sensing feedback information is agreed on in a protocol, and the content that needs to be compressed in the sensing feedback information includes all or a part of the sensing feedback information; and processes the sensing feedback information based on the first compression indication information, to compress the part or all of the sensing feedback information.
