Abstract
A method and apparatus for cooking food product is disclosed. It includes a blancher, such as a rotary blancher, a tempering belt and a transfer mechanism to transfer product from the blancher to the temperer. In various embodiments, the methods and apparatus can be utilized to cook various food products, such as rice.
