The method includes: preparing a porous photocatalytic crystal material through a sol-gel reaction, surface depositing magnetic ferroferric oxide on a surface of the material, modifying the material with a silane coupling agent, attaching copper oxide, manganese oxide and rare earth oxide to the material, calcining, adding the material into a chitosan-gelatin hydrogel, adding acrylamide, an initiator and a crosslinking agent, heating the mixture, carrying out reaction under stirring, and performing photocuring to prepare the natural mineral crystal-based mattress material. The natural mineral crystal-based mattress material prepared by this disclosure has low cost, can regulate sleep body temperature and humidity, has excellent comfort, good antibacterial, insect-resistant and anti-mite properties, and outstanding durability.
