Abstract

A cleaning pad is disclosed. The cleaning pad may include a body having a top layer for securing to a mop head and a bottom layer for making contact with a floor surface. The bottom layer may be generally rectangular in shape and include a strip of relatively lower absorbency material and a strip of relatively higher absorbency material. The strip of relatively lower absorbency material may extend longitudinally from the first to the second lateral edges of the bottom layer and the strip of relatively higher absorbency material may also extend longitudinally from the first to the second lateral edges. The strip of relatively lower absorbency material and the strip of relatively higher absorbency material may be of substantially equal height and form a substantially coplanar floor engaging surface.
