Abstract

A powertrain with a differential protection function, a control method for the powertrain, and an electric vehicle are provided. This disclosure relates to the field of new energy vehicles, and may be applied to a pure electric vehicle and a hybrid electric vehicle. The powertrain includes a drive motor, a motor control unit, and a differential. The drive motor is configured to drivingly connect to the differential, the differential is configured to drivingly connect to two wheels of the electric vehicle separately, the two wheels are two front wheels or two rear wheels, and the motor control unit is configured to control a torque value output by the drive motor to be less than or equal to a torque limit value, where the torque limit value decreases as a wheel speed difference between the two wheels increases.

What is claimed is:

A powertrain with a differential protection function, a control method for the powertrain, and an electric vehicle are provided. This disclosure relates to the field of new energy vehicles, and may be applied to a pure electric vehicle and a hybrid electric vehicle. The powertrain includes a drive motor, a motor control unit, and a differential.
