Abstract

A waveguide apparatus includes a first waveguide and N electromagnetic band gap units. The N electromagnetic band gap units are located between the first waveguide and an antenna apparatus. The N electromagnetic band gap units are aperiodically disposed around the first waveguide. Signal transmission can be performed between the first waveguide and the antenna apparatus. N is an integer greater than 0. In the waveguide apparatus, disposing the electromagnetic band gap units aperiodically can implement reliable signal transmission from a waveguide outlet of a radio frequency chip to a waveguide feed port of the antenna apparatus.

What is claimed is:

A waveguide apparatus includes a first waveguide and N electromagnetic band gap units. The N electromagnetic band gap units are located between the first waveguide and an antenna apparatus. The N electromagnetic band gap units are aperiodically disposed around the first waveguide. Signal transmission can be performed between the first waveguide and the antenna apparatus. N is an integer greater than 0. In the waveguide apparatus, disposing the electromagnetic band gap units aperiodically can implement reliable signal transmission from a waveguide outlet of a radio frequency chip to a waveguide feed port of the antenna apparatus.
