An improved archery bow limb system preferably includes a pair of primary limbs, a pair of secondary limbs, a pair of cams, a pair of front brackets and a pair of rear securement devices. A rear end of each secondary limb is retained relative to opposing ends of a riser. A rear end of the pair of primary limbs are retained on the pair of rear securement devices, which are attached to opposing ends of a riser. A second embodiment of the improved archery bow limb system would replace primary and second limbs with a single limb. The application also discloses other embodiments of the single limb design utilizing a cable.
