Abstract

The present invention relates to a system for producing middle distillate petroleum products from a rich aromatic petrochemical stream. The system comprises a feedstock handling unit configured to receive pyrolysis fuel oil (PFO) and rerun bottom streams; a gasoline fractionator and separation section for recovering light olefins, fuel gas, hydrogen-rich gas, and PFO; and a steam cracker and pyrolysis gasoline hydrotreating unit for stabilizing pyrolysis gasoline and generating rerun bottom streams. A fraction recovery unit isolates lighter PFO fractions, blended with rerun bottom (1-5 wt %) as diesel hydrotreater feed. A diesel hydrotreating unit equipped with filtration (≤25 μm), preheat exchangers, furnaces, and fixed-bed catalytic reactors hydrogenates diolefins and aromatics, producing ultra-low sulfur distillates. A fractionation unit separates stabilized products, while an integrated control and filtration system regulates feed proportion, hydrogen consumption, and filter fouling, enabling optimized conversion of low-value streams into high-value middle distillates.
