Abstract
An image forming apparatus includes a transport mechanism including a transport passage that transports a recording medium; an image forming unit that forms an image on the recording medium; a drying unit that is capable of performing pre-drying of drying the recording medium before image formation; and a processor that controls the transport mechanism, the image forming unit, and the drying unit, in which the processor is configured to switch between a first mode in which the pre-drying is performed and a second mode in which the pre-drying is not performed.

What is claimed is:
An image forming apparatus includes a transport mechanism including a transport passage that transports a recording medium; an image forming unit that forms an image on the recording medium; a drying unit that is capable of performing pre-drying of drying the recording medium before image formation; and a processor that controls the transport mechanism, the image forming unit, and the drying unit, in which the processor is configured to switch between a first mode in which the pre-drying is performed and a second mode in which the pre-drying is not performed.
