In a method, a first entity receives a first request, where the request is for obtaining information about an edge application server (EAS) that meets an application requirement; a second request is sent to a second entity, where the request includes computational performance required by a first EAS that is determined based on the application requirement; and/or a third request is sent to a third entity, where the request includes transmission performance required by the first EAS that is determined based on the application requirement; and a first response is sent, where the response includes the information about the first EAS.

What is claimed is:
In a method, a first entity receives a first request, where the request is for obtaining information about an edge application server (EAS) that meets an application requirement; a second request is sent to a second entity, where the request includes computational performance required by a first EAS that is determined based on the application requirement; and/or a third request is sent to a third entity, where the request includes transmission performance required by the first EAS that is determined based on the application requirement; and a first response is sent, where the response includes the information about the first EAS.
