/Method For Predicting A Reservoir's Structure, Petrophysical Properties, And Associated Uncertainty In Front Of A Drill Bit
Abstract

A method for predicting reservoir properties includes receiving seismic input data and electrical input data. The electrical input data includes spatial correlations between resistivity measurements behind a drill bit and unknown resistivity measurements on sides of and/or in front of the drill bit. The method also includes determining reservoir properties behind, on the sides of, and/or in front of the drill bit based upon the seismic input data and the electrical input data. The method also includes generating a display that shows a trajectory of the drill bit as well as the reservoir properties behind, on the sides of, and/or in front of the drill bit.
