A system for facilitating charitable donations connects customers, providers, and charitable causes through a network server, data storage device, and customer application. When a customer initiates a purchase, the application sends a challenge to the network server requesting a provider contribution to charity. The server compares charitable causes in the customer's portfolio against those in the provider's portfolio, identifies matches based on cause similarity, and routes contributions accordingly. The customer's device displays contribution amounts and matched causes in real time. Contributions may be fixed fees or percentages of the purchase amount, may be pooled from multiple providers, and may be associated with donor advised funds. Providers may include financial institutions, payment processors, card networks, merchants, or individuals. An optional integrated digital wallet automatically transmits the customer's charitable preferences to the server at the time of transaction, enabling seamless, preference-driven charitable giving without manual input.
