Abstract
Examples of a system and method for temperature measurements with hermetically sealed sensing material. The system comprises a sensing tip optically connected to a fiber optic probe. The sensing tip comprises a housing with a cavity formed within the housing. The sensing material is positioned within the cavity. An optically transparent element is covering the cavity and held the sensing material within the cavity. The cavity is further hermetically sealed using a seal connected to at least a part of a lower surface of the optically transparent element.
