A subscriber device connected to a delivery system for live interactive programming, is at a point of delivery of both live interactive content and broadcasted live video programming. The subscriber device receives the live interactive programming from the live interactive delivery system, and presents such programming on presentation devices. Other presentation devices at the point of delivery present the broadcasted video programming. The subscriber device captures audible sound from the environment at the point of delivery. An application compares the captured sound to the audio from the live interactive programming to determine any delay between the live interactive programming and the broadcast video programming. Given the determined delay, the determined delay can be used to synchronize presentation of live interactive programming by the subscriber device with the broadcasted video programming.
