Abstract

An authenticating application sends instructions to a device application to cause a device to generate and emit a signal in response to receiving access credential of a user to a virtual meeting. Subsequently, the authenticating application receives in real time from the virtual meeting, audio-visual data associated with the access credential. The authenticating application searches the audio-visual data for the signal. Responsive to finding the signal in the audio-visual data, the application categorizes the access credential as authentic and allows the access credential into the virtual meeting. Responsive to not finding the signal in the audio-visual data, the authenticating application categorizes the access credential as unauthentic and rejects the access credential from the virtual meeting.

What is claimed is:

An authenticating application sends instructions to a device application to cause a device to generate and emit a signal in response to receiving access credential of a user to a virtual meeting. Subsequently, the authenticating application receives in real time from the virtual meeting, audio-visual data associated with the access credential.
