The present disclosure relates to a cleaning system comprising: a user-operated cleaning apparatus having at least one cleaning tool for directly or indirectly acting on an object to be cleaned; a human-machine interface comprising an input unit and a controllable output unit; and a data-processing unit which comprises or forms an AI module, wherein a user provides a cleaning-related request to the AI module via the input unit, said request being linked to the operation of the cleaning apparatus or relating to the operation of the cleaning apparatus, wherein the AI module analyzes the cleaning-related request and provides the user with cleaning-related assistance via the output unit to improve the cleaning result. The present disclosure also relates to a method for operating a cleaning system.
