Abstract
A current-source gate driver includes circuitry that is configured to determine a rate of change of a current flowing through a power switch and generate a signal indicative of the rate of change of the current flowing through a power switch and a variable current source configured to output a drive current to a control terminal of a power switch, wherein the variable current source is configured to decrease magnitude of the drive current in response to the signal indicating that a rate of change in the current flowing through the power switch is positive.
