Abstract

A method of operating a surgical system includes providing, by a controller, a planned cut to be performed by a surgical tool, defining, by the controller, an entry boundary relative to the planned cut, and operating a surgical robot such that the surgical tool passes through the entry boundary in order to enter the planned cut.
