Abstract

A robotic hand module includes a host-attachment interface, hand command interface, articulated digits, tactile sensors, finger actuators, finger-actuator interface, and hand local predictive tactile validator. A candidate grasp command from an upstream control system is intercepted before corresponding finger actuation. The validator predicts a tactile consequence based on tactile context, object information, actuator state, calibration data, wear state data, or contact history. A grip release controller compares the predicted tactile consequence with a grip-safety policy and selectively releases, modifies, delays, decomposes, or blocks the command before execution. The module may operate in a centralized humanoid robot or as a vendor-agnostic component, with validation performed locally, at a robot brain or fleet level, or at a remote data center.
