Abstract

A riveting structure of an electrode terminal includes a battery can, an electrode terminal riveted through a through-hole formed in a bottom of the battery can, and a gasket between the battery can and the electrode terminal, in which the electrode terminal includes a body portion inserted into the through-hole, an outer flange portion extending along an outer surface of the bottom of the battery can and an inner flange portion extending toward an inner surface of the bottom of the battery can, in which the body portion and the outer flange portion respectively have inner cavities connected to each other, and in which the inner flange portion has an opening portion connected to the inner cavities and opened in a direction toward the inside of the battery can.

What is claimed is:

A riveting structure of an electrode terminal includes a battery can, an electrode terminal riveted through a through-hole formed in a bottom of the battery can, and a gasket between the battery can and the electrode terminal, in which the electrode terminal includes a body portion inserted into the through-hole, an outer flange portion extending along an outer surface of the bottom of the battery can and an inner flange portion extending toward an inner surface of the bottom of the battery can, in which the body portion and the outer flange portion respectively have inner cavities connected to each other, and in which the inner flange portion has an opening portion connected to the inner cavities and opened in a direction toward the inside of the battery can.
