/Autostereoscopic Display Apparatus
Abstract

An autostereoscopic display apparatus includes a display pixel array configured to generate image content. For a given display pixel, a processor determines a spatial relationship between the display pixel and a boundary separating adjacent viewpoint images and determines a luminance value according to a nonlinear luminance transition function. A local slope of the nonlinear luminance transition function may vary according to the spatial relationship to reduce crosstalk while maintaining image brightness. In some embodiments, luminance behavior may be adaptively adjusted according to display regions, image characteristics, or operating conditions.
