A noise-cancelling headphone device includes a speaker unit having a frame; a dome-shaped diaphragm formed of a center dome and a sub-dome; a voice coil formed in a cylindrical shape and connected to the dome-shaped diaphragm; and a magnetic circuit held by the frame. The speaker unit vibrates the dome-shaped diaphragm by imputing an audio signal to the voice coil to radiate a reproduced sound. The headphone device further includes a front cavity on a side where the dome-shaped diaphragm of the speaker unit is arranged, the reproduced sound being radiated to the front cavity, a microphone arranged inside the front cavity to detect ambient noise entering the front cavity, a noise cancellation signal generator generating a noise cancellation signal for reducing the ambient noise detected by the microphone, and an acoustic resistance member disposed on a front cavity side and covering an area facing the sub-dome.
