The method comprises: receiving, at a first device and from a second device, a channel state information configuration; and in response to receiving a reference signal from the second device, transmitting to the second device a channel state information report based on the channel state information configuration, the channel state information report comprising assistance information on transmission power adjustment for the second device. In this way, the adjustment of transmission power and bandwidth assignment can be implemented without degrading the supported multiple input multiple output layers. Thus, the spectral efficiency is improved, while the data latency and network energy consumption are reduced.
