A system and a method are disclosed for synchronization performed by a UE in a coexistence band of a first communication scheme and a second communication scheme. A method includes selecting additional resources for transmission of SSBs in different time slots in a band that is shared between a first communication scheme and a second communication scheme, and repeatedly transmitting an SSB in the selected additional resources.
