/Vehicle Door Systems And Method
Abstract

A refuse vehicle includes a chassis, a body including a cab, a door assembly, and a movement mechanism. The door assembly is coupled to the cab and includes a first door panel and a second door panel. The second door panel is rotatably coupled to the first door panel between a folded position and an unfolded position about a first axis. The movement mechanism couples the first door panel to the body and moves the door assembly between a closed position, an intermediate position, and an open position. The door assembly is configured to rotate relative to the vehicle body about a second axis substantially perpendicular to the first axis. The second door panel is movable from the unfolded position toward the folded position as the door assembly moves from the closed position through the intermediate position toward the open position.
