The battery pack includes a plurality of battery cells; a frame on which the plurality of battery cells are seated; a venting portion formed to close bottom surfaces of the plurality of battery cells and configured to be at least partially opened by gas or heat; and a pack case in which the plurality of battery cells and the frame are accommodated. Protrusions extending downward are formed on the frame. A lower end of the pack case is brought into contact with the protrusions of the frame so that a flame discharge space is formed between one protrusion and an adjacent protrusion. When a thermal event occurs in the battery cells, at least a part of the venting portion is opened so that a flame moves to the flame discharge space through the venting portion.
