/Patients were divided according to the mean plasma concentration of both proteins (ie, >27 ng/mL for FMOD and >64 ng/mL for FBLN5). Those with elevated concentrations of either FMOD or FBLN5 had worse event-free survival than the rest of the cohort (Figure 4A and 4B). When combined together, patients with an elevated concentration of either biomarker had significantly worse outcomes than those with low levels of both biomarkers. Similarly, patients with an elevation of both biomarkers had significantly worse outcomes than those with only 1 elevated biomarker (Figure 4C).
