/Concerning the alpha diversity, no significant differences in nasal microbiome composition were found in relation to sex, age, smoking habits and alcohol consumption. Nevertheless, females, non-smokers, age percentile 67-100% and individuals consuming alcohol “once per week” presented higher Shannon index and ASV abundance.
