/Homozygous PAX6 mutant (PAX6-/-) organoids were larger than controls and contained inhibitory cell types not found in PAX6+/+ controls. These inhibitory cells exhibited transcriptomic similarities to analogous cells in Pax6-/- mice and showed comparable distribution.
